A. Hard Headed Woman
B. The Drop Pt. 1
Hailing from Chicago, Illinois, Ulysses Samuel Warren originally released a few singles later featured on the LP “For A Few Funky Dues More” on his own record label Chytowns. Hell, the sound of his formation is unbelievable!
Soulful vocals overdubbing uptempo breakbeat drums combined with neat organ chords are already enough to freeze you dead until the wah-fuzz guitar solo comes along, and then it’s freakout time!
Side B “The Drop” is a cooler but still very funky instrumental, another proud display of Mr Warren’s underrated talent.
Both tracks here were taken from two separate singles joined together in one fine piece of vinyl
